OMPAN Anambra State Chapter Congratulates Governor Soludo on Forthcoming Swearing-In, Calls for Greater Media Inclusiveness

The Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), Anambra State Chapter, heartily congratulates the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on his forthcoming swearing-in ceremony scheduled to take place soon in the state.

As a body representing online media professionals, OMPAN acknowledges the significant role played by digital and online media platforms in the just-concluded governorship election. The association notes that the online media community contributed immensely to voter awareness, civic engagement, dissemination of credible information, and the strengthening of democratic participation across the state.

While congratulating the governor on this important milestone, OMPAN respectfully calls on the state government to extend a hand of inclusiveness and partnership to the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria. The association believes that constructive collaboration between government and professional media bodies will help strengthen transparency, public communication, and responsible digital journalism in Anambra State.

Speaking on behalf of the association, the Anambra State Chairman of OMPAN, Mr. Nwachukwu Mike Chinasa, stated that the organization has maintained professionalism and ethical standards since its inception. He also acknowledged the leadership and guidance of the National President of OMPAN, Mr. James Emeh of Igbere TV, for his continuous efforts in promoting credible online journalism across Nigeria.

Furthermore, the State Editor of OMPAN, Hon. Fidelis Kene Chiekezie, who also serves as the Managing Director of the Nigeria Professional Wrestling Federation (NPWF), commended the government for its commitment to democratic development. He also urged the state government to support the association in the regulation and harmonization of online media practice in Anambra State, in order to promote professionalism, accountability, and responsible information dissemination.

OMPAN Anambra State Chapter remains committed to partnering with relevant stakeholders to ensure that online media continues to serve as a veritable tool for development, transparency, and democratic growth in the state.
