Reigning AIWF African Heavyweight Champion, Mightyman (Happy Egu Okolo), has expressed his excitement ahead of a planned courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, High Chief Dr. Goddey Obi Nzete, in Delta State.
The visit forms part of the champion's commitment to engaging with leaders who are making meaningful contributions to grassroots development and youth empowerment within their communities.
Mightyman is one of Nigeria's leading professional wrestlers and a respected ambassador for African professional wrestling. With a career spanning more than two decades, who has built a reputation for his strength, resilience, and dedication to the growth of the sport across the continent.
Mightyman hails from Emu-Uno in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. He began his professional wrestling career in 1998, training under veteran wrestler Elephando Bassey, where he developed the technical skills and ring presence that have defined his career.
According to Mightyman, the meeting will provide an opportunity for him to officially present his title belt and also introduce the vision and activities of PWA while exploring ways of using professional wrestling as a platform for youth development, sports promotion, and community engagement in Delta State.
"Mightyman is proud of his roots and is looking forward to meeting High Chief Dr. Goddey Obi Nzete to share his journey as the AIWF African Heavyweight Champion. The visit will also serve as an opportunity to discuss how professional wrestling can inspire young people, create opportunities for aspiring athletes, and contribute to community development," Mightyman said.
During the visit, Mightyman is expected to present his AIWF African Heavyweight Championship belt to the Council Chairman as a symbolic gesture of appreciation and recognition for his leadership and commitment to the development of Ndokwa West Local Government Area.
